Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation

In collaboration with the Lagos State Electricity Board (LSEB) and sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Hanshot Solar Power proudly spearheaded the design and installation of a groundbreaking 5MWp Off-Grid Hybrid/Solar Mini Grid project. This initiative is dedicated to powering State schools and Primary Healthcare Centres across Lagos State, marking a significant stride towards sustainable and accessible energy solutions.

Solar Mini Grid Infrastructure:

The project features an innovative off-grid hybrid system that integrates solar power with other energy sources, ensuring a reliable and continuous power supply to the designated sites.A total capacity of 5MWp solar mini grids was strategically designed and installed, catering to the energy needs of 216 sites. This infrastructure empowers educational institutions and healthcare facilities with clean, renewable energy.

Public-Private Partnership

The collaboration with the Lagos State Electricity Board (LSEB) signifies a successful public-private partnership. This synergy harnesses the strengths of both sectors to create sustainable solutions that positively impact the lives of Lagos State residents.The project is supported by the World Bank, adding a global dimension to its significance. This sponsorship reflects the international recognition of the project’s potential to address energy challenges and promote sustainable development.
